The issue raised in this project is to cope with the problems arising due to natural disasters that occur in the Mediterranean region, which suffers quite often such phenomena (mainly earthquakes, floods and fires). At the same time, as scholars, we felt that we can have a better overview of climatic conditions, but also of the lifestyle of people living around the Mediterranean, as we ourselves being residents of the region. These are particularly valuable for our work as we face the issue of habitation anthropocentrically. Placing special emphasis on methodology, we develop a system approach to the problem of designing a residence in general, trying to customize the activities that take place in and around it. Then, in decoding these spatial qualities, we design the space-vessel for the activities, while trying to approach the difficult psychological situation of the potential residents. Our main concern is the possibility of appropriation of space through the identification of solutions and the social reintegration of victims through the operation of the new community which is formed.
